Mohit Midha to step down as CEO of Mangahigh.com and to hand over to Mike Brooksbank

After 12 years with Mangahigh, Mohit Midha, Co-Founder and CEO has decided to step down from his current role with effect from 1st Feb 2021. He will be succeeded by Mike Brooksbank, who has a long history of international success in the software industry, most recently in the education and healthcare sector.

From its humble beginnings, Mohit took Mangahigh from an idea to a fast-growing global edTech business that has been adopted by over 7,500 schools in over 60 countries. The company was acquired by Westermann Gruppe in 2018, one of the largest publishing houses in Germany.

Mohit commented:

“Since the acquisition, I’ve been working closely with the new board on an eventual transition plan. With our Spanish and German products having just been released, this feels like a good time to hand over to a new CEO to take Mangahigh’s vision of ‘helping every child find fun in learning’ to a whole new level!”

“It has been an incredible journey building Mangahigh. I am proud to have been associated with it since day dot. It has played a significant part in not only my professional development but also shaping me as a person. I am going to miss actively working with all the wonderful and talented people who have helped make Mangahigh what it is today.”

Mohit will continue to advise the company in a non-executive director role and support Mangahigh’s continued strategic development.

Mike Brooksbank intends to draw on the knowledge and expertise of the existing team to build and grow the business based on its solid foundations. “Mangahigh has huge global potential; as a team, we will aim to further the vision Mohit has created” Mike commented.

Sven Fischer, CEO of Westermann, said: “We would like to sincerely thank Mohit for his leadership during his time as CEO and wish him all the best for his future endeavours. We are happy that we could bring in Mike Brooksbank for the CEO role. He joins the company with a brief to further develop Mangahigh, maintaining the legacy already created and moving the business forward.”
